Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic School

Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic School (OLWCS) in Peterborough is a K-12 independent Catholic school in the classical liberal arts tradition. Our high school is affiliated with the burgeoning Chesterton School Network. Parents are offered an education for their children that is joyful, well-rounded, and challenging, educating them for life. A rich Catholic prayer life and formation in virtue are important aspects of each day.

Structure and discipline are also important at OLWCS. Cellphone use is not permitted, and students are encouraged to grow in the virtue of charity.

Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic School offers a rich reading and writing curriculum featuring many classics in literature, Saxon Math, a natural science program in the younger years blossoming into the higher sciences in high school, and a well-rounded education in the Catholic Liberal Arts tradition.

"Since true education must strive for complete formation of the human person that looks to his or her final end as well as to the common good of societies, children and youth are to be nurtured in such a way that they are able to develop their physical, moral, and intellectual talents harmoniously, acquire a more perfect sense of responsibility and right use of freedom, and are formed to participate actively in social life."
