Confirmation Sacramental Preparation

Confirmation Sacramental Preparation

Preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a powerful milestone in your spiritual journey. Confirmation completes the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, sealing and strengthening the grace you first received at Baptism and nourished through the Eucharist.

Through this holy sacrament, you are more perfectly bound to the Church and enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. As you prepare to take this meaningful step, you are invited to open your heart to Christ, deepen your prayer life, and prepare to actively witness your faith to the world.

Name for the Sacrament of Confirmation

Candidates for Confirmation may choose the name of a saint or their baptismal name / Indigenous Spirit name.  The Indigenous spirit name may be used for Confirmation if the child/family chooses to do so.   In the case of the Indigenous culture, it is recognized that the Indigenous spirit name is as important and unique to the child as a baptismal name is in other cultures.
