Entering the monastery at the young age of fifteen, she sought holiness not through grand, heroic deeds, but by performing everyday tasks with extraordinary love and humility. Her posthumously published autobiography, The Story of a Soul, captivated millions globally with its profound simplicity and message of absolute trust in God’s mercy. Despite dying of tuberculosis at just twenty-four, her enduring spiritual impact led Pope John Paul II to declare her a Doctor of the Church, celebrating a legacy defined by her promise to spend her heaven doing good upon earth.
St. Thérèse, Little Flower of Jesus, I turn to you with a child’s trust.
