+Most Reverend Daniel Miehm, Bishop of London, Apostolic Administrator of Peterborough, announces the following appointments of clergy.
PARISH ADMINISTRATOR
Fr. Michael Okafor – Administrator of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Bobcaygeon and St. Aloysius Parish in Fenelon Falls, effective August 26, 2026.
Fr. Sunghwan Joseph Park – Administrator of Korean Martyrs’ Parish in Brighton, effective August 24, 2026.
Fr. Edmund Scott – Administrator of St. Joseph Parish, Douro, effective August 12, 2026, until the return of Fr. Randy Foster.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Bro. Joseph Lourdusamy, OFM Cap. transferred from Associate Pastor at St. Joseph Parish in Bowmanville to Associate Pastor at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains, Peterborough, effective October 1, 2026.
SICK LEAVE
Fr. Randy Foster – Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Douro, is on sick leave, and will return when he has recuperated. In the meantime, we keep Fr. Randy’s good health in our prayers.
DEPARTING THE DIOCESE
Fr. Lee Young-Woo Benedict – Pastor of Korean Martyrs’ Parish in Brighton.
Fr. Cyprian Ijezie, MSP – Associate Pastor at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Huntsville is leaving the Diocese at the end of August for a new pastoral appointment in the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie.
Fr. Erwin Rodriguez – Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Bobcaygeon and St. Aloysius Parish in Fenelon Falls is leaving the Diocese and returning to the Philippines.
We are grateful for the priestly ministry of the priests who are leaving the Diocese and assure them of our prayers.
Posted August 19, 2026 – Bro. Stephen Van Massenhoven, OFM Cap. is leaving the Diocese of Peterborough to assume a new ministry in the Diocese of London. We thank Bro. Stephen Van Massenhoven, OFM Cap. for his ministry in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Peterborough. Bro. Stephen came to the Diocese with the mission to co-found with Bro. Alan Gaebel a Franciscan ministry of spirituality and prayer. That mission has taken shape and borne much good fruit in the Franciscan ministry house known as La Verna. We assure Bro. Stephen of our prayers in his new ministry.
